Les bagues

We are so happy to announce that our rings are online on our website since this morning. I love them and especially the "Play" ring in 14k rose gold  with one triangle and diamonds and our "Sushi" ring, our little sweet fish, with a tiny diamond for the eye. 

I'm still working on another ring, this one is going to be just fantastic. I will wear it everyday as a pinky ring, for sure. I cannot wait to share it with you.

Of A Kind

I am so happy and proud to be featured on this so great website called Of A Kind. I really love the concept of OAK. The idea is to ask to designers to make a special, limited edition and sell it only on Of A Kind until it sells out.

Instagram

I discovered instagram recently...and I just opened an account 3 weeks ago. I know it was time to do it...Oh well...:)). 

Like we say in French : " Mieux vaut tard que jamais"...In english I think you guys say: "Better late than never"...:)

I love instagram. You can have a lot of fun, it is a great visual way to communicate and to share more personal info and a great way for our customers to discover who's behind all these jewelry. Here's a couple of pictures that I've posted on Instagram @hortenselovesjewelry

The first thing that we discovered on Instagram this morning was this: the DailyELLE shared our necklaces on their Instagram: the Arrowhead necklaces with rose cut diamond in solid 14k rose gold and the necklaces from "Les petits fruits" collection. That was a great surprise.

A couple of days ago I went to visit one of my best friend who just had her so beautiful baby. I gave her a little bracelet in solid rose gold from our collection "Les petits fruits" and she loved it. I took this picture that I really like. 

I also love this picture of my baby's arm and mine. I designed bracelets on my daughter's arm and she did the same thing on my arm. We had a lot of fun.

Los Angeles is a beautiful city but it took me time to appreciate it. I've spent 30 years in Paris and more than 7 years in Sf which was a soft transition. Moving to LA was kind of hard the first year. Nobody in the streets, everybody in the car, a huge city well... Yes that was hard but I got used to it and now it really feels great to live here, especially when I can enjoy a sunday at the beach with my sweet hearts in the middle of April:)

Rings

I love these new rings with little charms all around your finger. These will be available in solid 14k rose and yellow gold and in sterling silver. Of course I like to wear them all together but it still looks really pretty if you wear only one or maybe two...?:))).

I am into hearts right now and I will share with you, hopefully really soon our new rings with heart with and without diamond and pink sapphire. I named the heart rings "Miss Sentimental" because I didn't want to compete with Cartier with their collection "Love". You cannot compete with the best right?:)...

I had fun when I had to pick a name for each ring. Each ring is a "Miss": "Miss USA", "Miss Plume", "Miss Sentimental" etc...

I hope you guys will love them as much as I do. Xo!

Les bagues

I'm still working on new rings and today, I am ready to go downtown to supervise all the new designs in production. It is always a little bit "scary". You have a design in your mind and between what you imagine and the production, it can be very different and challenging sometimes...but this is why also I love what I do.

Challenges give you some hard time but because of them this is how I learn so many new things everyday. So far the rings that I have all ready here look really adorable. 

I'm happy with them and I hope you will be happy as well:))

"I'm knots about you" and "Equal love"rings

"I'm knots about you" and "Equal love" are ready. "I'm knots about you" is available in solid rose, yellow and white gold with 2 knots on the band and diamonds for now. Another version with pink saphire will come later. "Equal love" is available with and without diamond. These rings make me feel happy. It is all about love:)). Xo

"D"rings-"D"rings

I am so excited to start a new collection of rings. It took me so much time to decide if I really wanted to do rings....Why?...I really don't know... I've always been inspired mostly by bracelets.

One day, my best friend made fun of me: "So you're a jewelry designer?, and as a jewelry designer, you think that we don't have fingers or what?, whats' wrong with you?:))"....and of course it was funny but deeply, I thought that she was 100% wright. Maybe I was scared and shy to start something new. So immediatly while she was talking to me, my brain started to think: "RINGS".."Bague, bague et bagues".. and I started to imagine what type of rings will make me feel really happy, how many diamonds, what type of diamonds: color, size, shape....and then I thought: "Should I do them in rose and yellow gold and sterling silver?...

And then I....: "Are you listening to me"...my friend asked. She knows when I am not listening, we met 34 years ago so we are like sisters and she sknows me by heart....

Anyway. On monday, 2 rings were ready. These 2 rings will be followed by many more in solid 14k rose and yellow gold and sterling silver.

I hope you will love them like I do;))
